Michael is the Founder and Managing Director of Miro Ventures LLC, an investment firm focused on Health IT to reduce health disparities in underserved communities. Miro Ventures invests in early-stage Healthcare IT startups and mentors’ founders on Go-to-Market strategies. Michael is a Limited Partner in Startup Bootcamp Miami, a healthcare business accelerator with 30 portfolio companies and 4 successful exits to date. He also serves as an independent Director on the corporate board for NovoDynamics Corporation and is a member of the Audit Committee.
He has more than 40 years of industry experience including senior executive roles at Microsoft where he led several large businesses including Vice President for Microsoft’s Health & Life Sciences business in the United States, in this role he was responsible for more than $3 Billion in revenue, driving Microsoft’s business initiatives into both commercial and public sector organizations in the Provider, Payer, Life Sciences, Public Health and Human Services verticals.
Janine is an experienced entrepreneur, business development advisor, and investor in start-ups and online ventures. Janine was a Business Advisor for Goldman Sachs, One Million Black Women’s program, a multi-year grant program, scaling the efforts of startups that are led by Black women and narrowing opportunity gaps at pivotal moments in a Black women founder’s life.
Janine is an Attorney with experience in corporate law and commercial real estate. She is a graduate of Georgetown University with a BA in Economics and a Juris Doctor (JD) from Georgetown University Law Center. She also has certificates from Harvard Business School in Entrepreneurship Essentials and Launching a Tech Venture.
